Welcome
Thank you so much for considering joining the Diamond Bar High School Instrumental Music Program.
The Instrumental Music groups at Diamond Bar High School have a storied tradition of success, from winning national championships, to being named by the Grammy Foundation as the top music school in the nation. From the state champion Thundering Herd Marching Band, to the unbelievable Symphony Orchestra, we have been able to achieve at a consistently high standard that is unheard of at the high school level.
Our individual successes are just as impressive. Our students are recognized as some of the top musicians at the regional, state and national level. In just the past 10 years alone, over 600 Diamond Bar students have been awarded All-Southern California Honors, and over 200 awarded All-State Honors. Regional, state, and national groups are filled with Diamond Bar students, and five of our students have been featured on National Public Radio, on the show “From the Top”, which highlights the best young musicians in the nation.
As fantastic as all these awards and recognitions are, the best thing about Diamond Bar High School’s Instrumental Music Program is how it develops us as people. Most of us will become something other than professional musicians, but the skills, discipline, and work ethic we learn here will allow us to thrive in any path we choose to follow. The connection with amazing professionals and other likeminded students who have become lifelong mentors and friends will have a lasting effect on what we will become.
